If you’ve ever wondered what it would taste like to eat a batch of olam brownies with cashews and walnuts, now you can!
Cashew butter is a rich, nutty, buttery flavour, and it makes these olam bars very satisfying!
Here’s how to make a batch.
First, make sure you’ve got the right cashew flour and cashew oil.
These recipes don’t require any extra baking powder or salt.
Next, add some cashew walnuts and olam nuts, and let it sit for a couple of hours in a bowl.
Once it’s cool enough to handle, add in a few tablespoons of cashew milk and let that steep for 10 minutes.
If you want, you can also add some olam milk and add in some nuts, like cashews, walnuts or pecans.
Then, you’ll have some tasty olam-like brownies to top them with.
Now, you’re ready to bake these beauties, but don’t let that deter you.
You can get them in a muffin tin or a mug or even a baking tray.
If it’s too cold to get in a tin, you could just slice up some cashews or walnuts.
If your oven is a little cold, just bake the brownies in the microwave for 30 seconds, then remove them from the oven.
Then bake them for an additional 10-15 seconds in the oven, until golden brown.
I personally love the crunch and golden colour that come from the cashew fat, so it’s a good recipe for me.
